Hi! I’m Bernard. I am the Managing Partner of JS Morlu with over 14 years of professional experience spanning leadership, audit, finance, accounting, and advisory services. My work combines technical depth with strategic oversight, drawing from extensive real-world practice to support high-quality professional education and continued learning.
Throughout my career, I have led and delivered engagements across taxation, financial audit, value-for-money (VFM) audits, business valuation, investment and portfolio management, financial reporting, budgeting and budgetary controls, liquidity and asset management, and management information systems. This broad exposure across industries and functional areas informs my approach to CPE instruction, where emphasis is placed on practical application, professional judgment, and execution excellence.

As Managing Partner, Bernard works closely with clients to solve complex business challenges, from strategy formulation to execution. He leads multidisciplinary teams, builds technical and leadership capacity within the firm, and ensures consistent delivery of high-quality services across engagements. His role also includes driving business development initiatives, supporting firm growth, and mentoring professionals through structured coaching and leadership development.
Bernard brings in-depth expertise in accounting and audit systems, software acquisition, and system migration, particularly within micro to medium-sized enterprises. His technical toolkit includes hands-on experience with BankMill International, Zigloi, CoreERP, QuickBooks, Sage 50, Tally, CaseWare, Draftworx, Audit File, Microsoft Project, and the Microsoft Office Suite. This practical systems knowledge enables him to translate complex concepts into structured, real-world learning for CPE participants.
Education
Bernard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Professional Studies, Accra, and a Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting) from Koforidua Technical University. He also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) training certificate from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).
He is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant and a member in good standing of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana, and is currently in the final level of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK certification. His professional philosophy emphasizes continuous improvement, ethical leadership, and lifelong learning—principles that align closely with the objectives of NASBA-aligned CPE programs.
