Hi! I’m Sylvester. I am a Chartered Accountant and Certified Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA®) with over six years of progressive experience in financial assurance, advisory, and CFO services. My professional work spans audit, advisory, and strategic finance, combining technical rigor with decision-oriented insight to support both client outcomes and high-quality professional education.
At JS Morlu, I serve as a Manager in Financial Assurance & Advisory, delivering audit and advisory solutions across industries including fintech, mining, venture capital, engineering, construction, agribusiness certification, public sector institutions, and NGOs. My teaching and course contributions draw directly from this real-world experience, with a strong emphasis on practical application, professional judgment, and compliance-driven execution—core pillars of effective CPE learning.

Sylvester’s core expertise includes external and internal audits, IFRS-based financial reporting, taxation, forensic accounting, valuation, and financial and commercial due diligence. He has led complex engagements end-to-end—from planning through final reporting—while supervising and mentoring high-performing teams and consistently delivering assignments that exceed client and management expectations.
His professional experience spans engagements in Ghana, The Gambia, and the United States, supporting local and international clients with cross-border reporting, governance, and compliance requirements. Prior to his current leadership role, Sylvester managed audit portfolios, restructured finance functions, designed management reporting frameworks, and delivered payroll and regulatory compliance services for both local and multinational organizations.
His background also includes forensic damages assessment and dispute-related advisory, strengthening internal controls, governance structures, and financial transparency for clients operating in complex or high-risk environments. Across all engagements, his work is guided by a strong commitment to quality, integrity, accuracy, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Education
Sylvester holds a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG). He is a Certified Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA®) of the Corporate Finance Institute (CFI) and also holds a Professional Certificate in Forensic Audit and Investigation from ICAG.
He is highly proficient in AuditFile, CaseWare, Draftworx, QuickBooks, Xero, FinovatePro, and financial analytics tools, with advanced capability in Microsoft Excel and audit automation platforms. Fluent in English, Twi, and Ga, Sylvester is passionate about problem-solving, mentoring, research, and building sustainable finance functions—principles that align strongly with the objectives of NASBA-aligned CPE programs.
